Home PageWelcome to the Writing for the World Wide Web Wiki! Welcome aboard, Spring 2008 Writing for the World Wide Web Students! This is the wiki page where you will be responsible for editing entries from last Eng 444 wiki. What does it mean to "edit" these posts? Well, that's something we can talk more about as the semester develops. The main idea is to take the work that students did last year, learn from it (after all, it's about web design, HTML, and CSS), and make this site better and potentially more useful for others. Keep in mind though that your assignment this term is different than students from last year! For example, you won't be linking to your wiki entries by creating an authors page here; rather, you will link to your wiki entires on your ENGL 444 portfolio page. To get started, first take a turn at playing in the WikiSandbox. That's a space you can mess around in without messing anything else up on the site. Then, after you have a little confidence, set up page with your name and basic bio on the Authors page. This is important because this is where you will keep track of all the work you do. Topics for the Site: (This is what they were last year, at least. We can change some of this around, if that's what people want to do....)
A local copy of Pm Wiki's documentation has been installed along with the software, and is available via the documentation index. |
